With summer just around the corner, we wanted to know the location of your favorite ice cream spot.
The Freeze, locally known as Fourth Street Ice Cream, came in first place in our week long poll in which we asked the public to choose their favorite local ice cream spot.
Located at corner of Fourth and Merchant streets, The Freeze opens and closes with flexibility. The shop is normally open from 3 to 10 p.m., seven days per week, depending on the weather.
The Freeze is a family owned and operated for the past three generations. In 2010, Lindsey Papinchak became the current owner after her father, Keith, passed away in February.
Papinchak said that she would like to follow in her father's footsteps.
"I want to do want he did," she said. "I wear his wedding ring and have his picture here. Everyone liked my dad."
