River Valley Tang Soo Do Academy has been offering "Martial Arts for the Whole Family" in Ambridge since 1992. The team was proud to have the opportunity to share their passion for martial arts with the campers for the first time and are looking forward to being invited again.
Members of the River Valley Tang Soo Do Academy demonstration team (a.k.a. River Valley Drill Team) were invited to participate in the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh - Dr. Bill Neches Heart Camp for Kids on June 16, 2017. The camp is an annual event held at Camp Kon-O-Kwee in Fombell, PA. Members of the team started by providing a demonstration for the campers of the traditional Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do. Following the demonstration the team helped Chief Instructor - Master Scott Homschek give all the campers an introductory lesson. The campers were able to learn the four basic blocks and first two basic kicks all new Tang Soo Do students learn. Great fun was had by all as the campers were able to practice their new skills with the team members on foam padded targets.
