Crews will be doing a few projects -- paving, hydrant flushing and road maintenance -- in our area this week starting on Monday, May 12.
In Ambridge, Youngblood Paving is scheduled to begin paving on Duss Avenue and Locust Street as part of the 2014 paving project, weather permitting.

The Ambridge Water Authority will begin hydrant flushing on Monday, May 12. Officials said work will run from 7 a.m to 2 p.m. over the course of about two weeks. The work will begin in lower Ambridge and move to Harmony and Economy. The flushing may result in temporary discoloration of the water while the lines are being cleaned. If this occurs, run the water for a few minutes until it clears.

- Patching on Lovi Road in New Sewickley to Conway Wallrose Road, and on Ninth Street in Freedom and Crider Road in New Sewickley to the Butler County line.
- Slide repair on Heights Road in South Heights from Gibson Street to North Economy Street.
- Retaining wall replacement on Hoenig Road in Economy from Conway Wallrose Road to Big Sewickley Creek Road.
