District offices are located in Beaver, Johnstown, and Ross Township.
“I’ve enjoyed working with the many bright young men and women who have interned in our offices. Our interns have done great work to help me represent and serve my employers – the 705,000 residents of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District.”
Internships are offered during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Hours can be flexible to accommodate student course schedules, but generally run 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Internships are unpaid but academic credit may be available, depending on the student’s academic institution.
Students are asked to submit the completed application, resume, cover letter, and a brief writing sample (no longer than five pages) to the office where they would like to intern. Students may also email completed applications to [email protected]. The internship application form is available online at https://Rothfus.house.gov.
The deadline for a fall internship in the Washington, D.C. office is July 14, 2014. Applications for internships in the Beaver, Johnstown, and Ross Township offices will be accepted and considered on a rolling basis.
