A long-time Ambridge family business was recognized Tuesday night for nearly a half century of continued service in the borough.
Ambridge council and the mayor presented R&S Enterprises Printing, Inc. owner Sharon Guerrieri and her family with a proclamation, thanking and applauding them for their civic activism, business success and long-tenure of more than 46 years.
"The borough council and the mayor desire to recognize long-time business establishments within Ambridge that have been a great asset to the community by adding to the exceptional quality of life through superior service products offered...," said Council President Michael Mikulich, who presented the family with the proclamation.
According to the borough, R&S Enterprises Printing, Inc. was founded in 1969 by Rudy and Shirley Guerrieri as a means to put their four children through college.
In 1979, the Guerrieri's moved their business operations to 1008 Merchant St., where they expanded the business from traditional printing to advertising specialties. In January 2000, the business was turned over to Sharon Guerrieri, the second generation. Sharon Guerrieri then incorporated the business and changed the name to the present, R&S Enterprises Printing, Inc.
Mikulich said R&S Enterprises has been a stellar example of corporate citizens in the borough advancing many community programs, supporting local non-profit organizations and adding to the family-owned business environment in the central business district.
R&S Printing provides traditional printing, advertising specialties, magnetic signs, trophies, and other custom products.
