Allison Park Church will celebrate its 50th anniversary with Servolution, a massive service campaign, during August 11 to August 22, 2016.
“Allison Park Church is a church that serves. Giving to others and serving our communities is part of our DNA,” says Jeff Leake, Lead Pastor of Allison Park Church. “We’re excited to celebrate our 50th anniversary through Servolution.”
APC leadership, staff, and congregants will serve their communities through 23 service projects impacting the Hampton, Deer Lakes, Ambridge, and Butler communities.
Service projects include serving dinner to local firefighters, hosting an ice cream social for senior citizens, and packing meals for Stop Hunger Now. Other projects include hosting a block party with free food and games, giving away groceries, paying for unsuspecting recipients’ bus tickets, ice cream, dinners and more.
"It's going to be an honor and a pleasure to not only host this event, but to partner up with the Greater Dominion Church of the Millennium, who is also celebrating VBS this week, and the Ambridge Rotary Club. Through these two great partnerships we will be showing Ambridge that we stand together united to serve them" shared Thomas Manning , Servolution Chair.
