A summer fundraising project for Sewickley Academy Student, Lu Gillespie ,brought nearly 70 kids to experience a movie in the high-quality Tull Family Theater located in Sewickley.
"Ambridge is only minutes from the theater, and it was a community where the theater had not yet offered an outreach program. So this was a perfect opportunity" shared Karen Ferrick-Roman, director of communications and education.

Gillespie said that she wanted to do a summer project that included her love for the arts and would reach kids her age in Ambridge. About 15 kids each from Girls Hope and Center for Hope in Ambridge and 38 Expression Bridge Summer Pop Up Events youth were treated to private screening a G rated movie and snacks on Monday.
Felicia Mycyk, Director of Expression Bridge, shared that the kids truly loved the summer trip to the movies. Rhodes Transit made the bus for the trip affordable. "It was fun loading the kids up to do something out of our normal local youth pop up activities in town. Some of the kids have not been a theater in years."
