Shots Fired in Ambridge

Police were dispatched to Maplewood Avenue around 3 a.m. because someone was breaking the windows of car. ​

According to a police report, Amanda Frances said she heard a loud crashing sound and when she went to find out what it was, she saw that someone had thrown bricks through her rear and passenger window and attempted to break the front window.

About an hour later, neighbors reported hearing five shots fired at the intersection of 2nd and Maplewood. 

According to the police  report Antani Macon and  Michelle Brown, along with friends were a bar earlier that night. Macon drove Brown home. When she was dropped off, Adams and Macon got into an argument.  Adams who is Browns' brother  hit Macon with his gun then Adams then left the area.  

About an hour later, Brown was in the van with Macon headed to hospital but stopped at the intersection of 2nd and Merchant.  Macon ran down 2nd street and came back to the van mintues later.  After coming back from the hospital, police said they stopped back at 2nd street next to Adams and Frances’ car.  ​
​Police said Macon threw bricks at the car and got back to the van, then Adams ran up to the van yelling and swinging trying to hit Macon. Adams then pulled his gun out and Macon and Brown sped away. His sister reported that she heard gunshots and was unaware that her van was hit, believing that Adams just shot in the air to scare them, police said.

Adams was arrested and being charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another per
