PennDOT is announcing a ramp closure on southbound Route 65 in Freedom Borough, Beaver County will begin Monday, March 20 weather permitting.
The southbound Route 65 Freedom off-ramp to 3rd Avenue (Route 1065) will close to traffic at 7 a.m. on Monday continuously through Thursday, June 1. Crews will conduct ramp reconstruction and bridge deck work. All ramp traffic will be detoured.
Posted Detour
• Continue on southbound Route 65 past the closed ramp
• Turn left onto Johnson Avenue
• Turn left onto State Street (Route 2001)
• Merge onto northbound Route 65
• Take the northbound Route 65 Freedom off-ramp to 3rd Avenue
• End detour
Additionally, 3rd Avenue (Route 1065) will be reduced to 10 foot lanes for reconstruction work.
This $20.21 million roadway project includes milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement patching, drainage and guiderail updates, ramp reconstruction,curb and sidewalk work, bridge and retaining wall preservation, sign structure maintenance and signal improvements. The overall project will conclude in late October 2017.
Gulisek Construction Company is the prime contractor.
