“We get requests all year long for stuffed cabbage and especially dumpling halushky ,so we decided we would try to meet the community’s need with this special sale," said John Righetti, chairman.
In addition, a limited variety of homemade baked goods will be available.
The sale will be held at the St. John Parish Center, 722 Fifth St. in Ambridge from noon until 8 p.m.
“We’re trying these new hours to give those who work during the day a chance to purchase our foods as well,“ Righetti said.
Orders can be placed in advance by calling 412-749-0675. Proceeds will benefit the ACRY, the parish’s support organization.
St. Johns serves Orthodox Christian families throughout Beaver County, northern Allegheny County and southwest Butler County. The pastor is the Rev. Robert J. Prepelka.
