Credit: United Way of Beaver County Ambridge Superintendent Cynthia Zurchin was among several who accepted awards for outstanding fundraising at a United Way of Beaver County Inaugural Recognition Reception.

The reception was held June 3 at The Club at Shadow Lakes, and according to United Way, there was a record attendance of almost 300 guests.
The Ambridge Area School District received the new partner award in conjunction with the 2014-15 campaign, which raised a total of $816,055. The amount is the largest raised in the past seven years and surpassed the $700,000 goal set before the campaign began.
