Saturday, September 24th, 10am, Ambridge Parish Parade featuring local parishioners and nonprofit organizations. Parade routed along Merchant Street. Highlights will include Ambridge High School Marching Band, Old Economy Village Float and the Good Will Ambassador Finalists. Parade will end at PJ Caul Park, 11th and Merchant Street.
Opening Ceremony will start at 11:30am with Master of Ceremony, PA State Representative Rob Matzie and crowning of the Good Will Ambassador, Student Scholarship Awards. “Ringing of the Bells” will kick off the Ambridge Fall Festival of Churches, 12:00pm-7:00pm. Highlights include family fun day of homemade ethnic food prepared by the participating churches, live ethnic music & dance, community bingo, free children’s activities including a petting, zoo, pony rides, face painting, pumpkin painting, storytelling and much more. The diversified historical churches of Ambridge, along with Old Economy Village, founded by the Harmony Society in 1824, creates a unique, woven tapestry of history that reflects the heritage of its people and plays a vital role in its future. Currently, Ambridge is home to twenty active churches , the Ambridge Fall Festival of the Churches is a new event to celebrate, honor and showcase its religious community and heritage.
