The First Missionary Baptist Church in Leetsdale has organized a community-wide prayer walk that ends at PJ Caul Park in Ambridge on Friday, June 19 at noon.
"I think that every believer would agree that with summer approaching this is an excellent opportunity for believers to come together and pray for the cities of Ambridge/Leetsdale and its surrounding areas" said the Rev. Bryan K. Crawl, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church.
"It is with this opportunity in mind that the First Missionary Baptist Church wants to extend this invitation to join us in an effort to pray for our community."
Pastor Crawl said the hope is that all conduct a prayer walk from different areas of the community and then culminatw with all participants meeting on 11th Street at the park for a united prayer at noon
The walks may start from anywhere in the area at whatever time your church or organization deems necessary.
"Our goal is to have as many churches involved as possible to show unity, to have Christian fellowship and affect the area through the power and love of Jesus Christ," shared Pastor Crawl.
"We would like to start on June 19 and conduct two walks per month."
