Here's a guide to some of the specials being offered today in Western Pennsylvania.
Free food and drink:
Starbucks--Veterans, active duty service members and spouses can enjoy a free, tall 12 oz. hot brewed coffee.
Coffee Beanery--The Beaver Valley Mall location will be giving veterans and active duty military members with proof of service a free tall cup of coffee all day.
Sheetz--Veterans can get a free 6-inch turkey sub and regular fountain drink all day.
Applebee’s--Military veterans and active-duty service members can eat for free. There will be 7 entrées to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included. Military ID or proof of service required.
Bob Evans--All you can eat hotcakes are free for active duty military and veterans with ID or proof of service.
Denny’s--Free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon for all active, inactive, and retired military personnel. Participating locations only. Call ahead.
Hoss’s Family Steak & Sea House--Free meal from the American Values Menu, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Includes soup, salad, dessert and beverage. Dine-in only, valid ID or proof of service required.
IHOP--From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., veterans can enjoy Free Red, White and Blue pancakes, or Red, White and Blue pancakes combo plate including eggs, bacon and hashed browns. Participating locations only. Call ahead to verify participation.
Lone Star Steakhouse--All veterans and active duty military are eligible for a free Starter. ID or proof of service is required. Call ahead for verification.
