Ambridge School District board of directors meeting tonight was held Wednesday night.
Almost a full showing of Ambridge teachers was in the audience with signs of various sizes that read:
"All the Association wants is a fair contract," said Lauren Mawhinney the Ambridge Area Education Association President. " The last thing our teachers want is to go on strike, but make no mistake we will do what we need to do in order to secure a new contract."
Mawhinney continued to direct comments to the board and added "I encourage you to come to the table and negotiate a settlement with the association that benefits the association, the district, and our students that are most important to us."
