The group presented Jula with a game ball on Friday, Jan. 12 marking his milestone and his accomplishments. Not many coaches have reached this achievement as Jula is only the second in Beaver County.
The Tip Off Club also honored Student Athlete Daylon Carter with his 1,000 point. He was also presented with a game ball marking his accomplishments.
Jula said in his career he has not coached many that have done what Daylon did and Jula is glad he was able to see it.
The Ambridge Tip Off Club is a group that was started more than 45 years ago and is made up of 33 businessmen from the area who support the boys and girls basketball teams. The group is separate from the basketball boosters and does not fundraise, but rather donates their own money, hold their own end-of-year banquet, and honor both the boys and girls teams with special presentations for the senior members.
