Baden is currently accepting resumes from borough residents who are interested in serving as tax collector for the remainder of 2015.
Baden Council held a special meeting on Wednesday, March 4, to accept the resignation of elected tax collector Cynthia Kristek. Her husband, Keith Kristek, is currently under investigation, accused of stealing a large amount of tax payer money.
Council plans to appoint a tax collector to serve the balance of 2015 until a new tax collector is elected. Applications are being accepted and must be submitted by Monday, March 16. Resumes can be submitted at the Baden Borough Office, 149 State St., Baden PA, 15005.
Baden Borough and Ambridge Area School District taxes may be paid in person between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday or mailed to the Baden Borough Office, 149 State Street, Baden PA 15005.
Borough officials have announced that anyone who mailed, dropped off, or paid their taxes at the 514 State St. address should note that payments are being processed and deposited.
