The Beat for Life Mixer that was held Saturday night at Ba'Runi's in Harmony raised more than $2,300.
Patrick Escoto shared that the $2,307 in funds raised will be split between the Steel Drum Band and the band boosters and is earmarked for instruments and supplies for band students.
Escoto expressed his thanks in a Facebook post, "To everyone that came through the door and donated your hard earned money and spent your evening with us, you are proof that Ambridge is a great community that supports the music community right here in our hometown!"
