River Valley Tang Soo Do Academy held a combined ceremony that included WTSDA studios from Pittsburgh. WTSDA studios in the Pittsburgh area promoted six students to Black Belt: two from River Valley Tang Soo Do Academy; three from Imperial Dragon Tang Soo Do Karate School; and one from Keystone Martial Arts.
In addition, 10 students who had been promoted to Black Belt in November completed their "probationary" period and received their formal Black Belt certificates.

Congratulations to the following coaches and their teams for winning at the annual A.B.E. Baseball Tournament.
- Coach Shawn Gerace and his team won the 7-year-old championship, defeating Avonworth.
- Coach Dave Gibson his team won the 10-year-old championship over Hopewell.
- Coach Bob Brandt, Coach Mike Galvan, and his team defeated Mt. Lebanon in the 14-year-old division.

This is the sixth year they performed for the Ocean City Development Council. The band traveled with 15 members and did three shows, including a beach party at Seacrets.
