Village Church Pastor, Jason Wilson shared, "We wanted something where we can pull together as the churches in Ambridge to work for the good of the community and the good of the kingdom."
"We want to show people that we are unified in this community," said Thomas Manning, Allison Park Church.
The group formed Ambridge Ministerium—One Body; Which includes Vintage Church Small Group, Village Church, St. John's Lutheran Church, New Hope Community Church, Church of the Savior, Allison Park Church: Ohio River Campus, First Baptist Church of Ambridge, and Ambridge Alliance Church.
The Ministerium has plans for a joint service and will host a joint Men's Breakfast on Jan. 18 at First Baptist Church .
Wilson shared, "Historically in Ambridge there has been a significant divide between culture, ethnicity, background. As a steel town back in the day, every ethnic group had their church. That is part of Ambridge History; that is part of what we encounter, and it is part of what we are working to revise."
"We are not trying to overturn it," added Wilson, "bringing everyone together, not by melting us into one church, but by taking all of the churches and working together, we can show this community that we can work together."
"Different churches make our community better" said Ambridge Council President, Michael A. Mikulich. "It's great they are working together. Hopefully, we can make our town better with them and with the borough.
"If there are needs in the community that need to be addressed, We want to be part of Ambridge's future" said St. John's Lutheran Church, Vicar Jason Coley.
"We could pull the resources, the gifts, and the abilities we have to help serve the community" added Coley.
"The ultimate goal is to be the hands and feet of Christ, and we want to set that example," shared Kenneth Sachs, Church Planter Vintage.
Ambridge Alliance Church, Pastor Brock Covington, added, "Jesus taught that the church is the body; We may worship at different locations, but we are one."
