The Ambridge Area School Board recently approved the hiring of a junior high principal and a security firm for the high school.

advertisement School board members voted Nov. 19 to hire Shaun Cooke at a salary of $85,000. Cooke is a principal in the Penn Hills School District.
The board also ratified an agreement with Centurian Security-Gentile and Associates, Inc. of Monaca to provide security services at the high school effective Nov. 17. Security is present throughout the school day and during after-school hours.

- The reorganization meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 in the high school auditorium followed by the meet and discuss board meeting at 7:30 p.m.
- Architectural Innovations will be present at the meeting to answer questions from board members regarding the facilities study.
- The regular board meeting is at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.
